The Russian Emergency Ministry announced the clearance of 9 settlements in the Russian border region of Kursk from mines.

The ministry stated in a press release that "9 settlements were surveyed and cleared of explosive devices by bomb specialists over the past week, and more than 150 explosive items were dismantled."

Additionally, the ministry, as reported by the Russian news agency TASS, mentioned that demining teams continue to survey the lands of populated areas and infrastructure facilities.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Kursk region, in addition to Russian forces targeting a Ukrainian troop deployment center in the same area.

The ministry noted that around 3:00 PM Moscow time, another attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch attacks on facilities in Russian territory using fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles was thwarted, and a Ukrainian drone was destroyed over the Kursk region.

Furthermore, the ministry stated that Russian Ka-52M helicopter crews carried out an attack on a deployment area for Ukrainian troops and weapons in the Russian border region of Kursk.

It clarified that the combat helicopters executed a strike on Ukrainian soldiers and armored vehicles in Kursk, using air-launched munitions based on reconnaissance data, resulting in the elimination of Ukrainian personnel and armored vehicles.
